We had a lovely walk out with the dog yesterday afternoon searching for Scarecrows in the nearby village of East Hagbourne. Every year the village hosts a scarecrow trail and the kids love searching for them all. There are always plenty to find and the competition is fierce with some fantastic designs! Our absolute favourite this year was the amazing lifesize gingerbread man.
We also loved Pinocchio, Rapunzel and the Little Mermaid.
And then the heavens opened. A massive torrential downpour that just went on and on and on leaving us completely drenched from head to toe. We literally looked like we’d been swimming in our clothes. Poor Lois was not impressed!
If you are in the area the scarecrow trail will be on for the next 2 weeks until the end of half term. You can buy maps from the village shop or the Fleur De Leys pub. Enjoy!
