I know a lot of you found my February half term list of activities and events very helpful so I’m hoping this one will be just as useful. I have searched for as many events as possible to share with you. Remember there are always local parks and walks perfect for picnics and bike rides. We spend a lot of time at various parks with friends to pass the time away without it costing us all a fortune. I find the kids enjoy this just as much (in fact sometimes more!) as they do when we go out on bigger day trips.
8th-23rd April – Eggstravaganza event at Four Kingdoms including Easter egg hunts every day, Easter Bunny show, lambing, arts and crafts. These are all included in the entry fee. You can read our review here: 4 Kingdoms Adventure Park
8th-23rd April – I-Spy style trail at the Pendon Museum to earn a chocolate egg each. Modelling craft workshops running on 12th and 19th April included in entry fee. Read our review here: Pendon Museum
8th – 23rd April – Easter Trail at Harcourt Arboretum. On 11th April 1-4pm they are holding a family friendly event discovering animals that hatch from eggs and on 18th April 1-4pm discovering minibeasts .

11th-13th April – Easter activities incluing Easter trail and arts and crafts at Sutton Courtenay Nature Reserve. £4 per child. Booking essential via the link: BBOWT

14th-17th April – Search the play frame at Snakes and Ladders for clues from the Easter Bunny to earn a sweet treat.
14th-17th April – Reduced prices for residents of Didcot to visit Didcot Railway Centre to help celebrate their 50th year anniversary (take proof of address such as utility bill with you). 14th-17th April – Blenheim Palace are hosting a variety of activities over the Easter weekend including circus skills workshops, funfair, archery, bouncy castle, balloon modelling, punch and judy show and more. 15th April – Free Easter activities at Great Western Park Community Centre in Didcot 2-4pm including egg hunt, bouncy castle, activities and games for all ages.
15th April – Easter egg scramble on the play frame at Snakes and Ladders at intervals throughout the day (see our review here: Snakes & Ladders ).
17th April – Discover how your brain works at Oxford Museum Of Natural History 1-4pm. Free activities.
18th-21st April – Bounce Department at Didcot Leisure Centre 10-4pm. Loads of bouncy castles and soft play area. You must book in advance online https://www.tickettailor.com/all-tickets/15194/0af3/
19th April – Free science event at Cornerstone Didcot. Hands on activities with astronomers and scientists from Rutherford Appleton Laboratory. 10am-4pm. https://www.cornerstone-arts.org/classes-workshops/family-science-day
19th April – Free wildlife Wednesday event ran by the Earth Trust at Castle Meadows in Wallingford 10am-2pm. This will include trails to follow, den building, see what moths have been caught in the moth trap, plus arts and crafts to take home.
21st-23rd April – Folk weekend in Oxford. Lots of activities and events going on over the weekend around Oxford to celebrate Folk music. www.folkweekendoxford.co.uk
22nd April – Deer Park Wood Nature Day (Witney). Free activities including identifying mini beasts, seeing what moths are caught in the moth trap, checking the night cameras for wildlife, live wildllife traps to check, plant detectives, etc.
Over 300 National Trust sites across the country are hosting Cadbury Easter egg hunt events over the 2 week Easter holidays. Find a participating site near you using their website. You can also print off your own egg hunt kit to use at home. https://easter.cadbury.co.uk/
